By tradition, the Blood Transfusion Institute in Nis with the support of the City Municipality of Palilula organized the voluntary summer campaign for blood donation, "Your five minutes, one's whole life," and it was organized on Tuesday, 09/07/2013.  from 9:00 to 13:00 pm at the Cultural Centre of Nis. An invitation to the blood donors residing in Palilula was sent to participate in humanitarian action. This activity is supported by the employees of the Board, members of management of Palilula and representatives of other organizations and institutions from the municipality. After the usual examination of health status of those concerned, eight of our fellow citizens on this occasion gave the precious liquid. With the president of Municipality Boban Dzunic, blood also gave Ljubisav Slavković, Deputy Mayor of the City of Nis.

Vojkan Tričković, municipal administration of Municipality of Palilula says this is not the first time that he is giving blood. "I am a regular blood donor. I do this because I think it is human, and in this way to help people with life-giving blood - said Vojkan.

According to Boban Džunić, President of Municipality of Palilula, this organization of the local government of the City of Niš has excellent cooperation with the Institute for Blood Transfusion. "I urge my fellow citizens to respond to this call. This is just one part of our work with human mission. We, who perform executive functions of government, should be personally participating as an example to all other citizens not to forget the solidarity and humanity. Let me remind you that we had a few days ago a donor evening-stitched let’s help our children. Such actions are vital to our community. Blood is something that is most important, something that is crucial for people who have health problems when their lives are in danger. As you can see in Palilula employees regularly support the activity of collecting blood and are voluntary blood donors.
